Positions Available
Successful applicants, must be between the
ages of 18 and 25, and will demonstrate the following proficiencies
and values:

An interest in, and commitment to, health
and/or rural communities and people
- Evidence of current and/or past volunteer
service activities
- Communication skills, including writing
and verbal communication with clarity and accuracy
- Self direction: Members must be
self-directed and show evidence of their ability to work
independently and efficiently
- Applicants must be US citizens or
permanent residents, and they must have their high school
diploma or GED

The Rural Health Service
Corps is an AmeriCorps National Service Program administered by
the Rural Health Network of South Central New York. The purpose of
the Rural Health Service Corps is to provide meaningful service and
learning opportunities for young people committed to improving the
health and lives of those living in South Central New York State.
The mission of the Rural Health Network of
South Central New York (RHNSCNY) is to promote and improve the
health of rural communities and strengthen each community's capacity
to respond to health needs by reducing barriers and improving access
and use of health and human services through advocacy, communication
and partnerships. The RHNSCNY serves Delaware, Tioga and rural
Broome County.
