9th Annual Taste of Tioga

Taste of Tioga is the premiere buy-local culinary festival and fundraiser from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tioga County. Join us September 17, 5:30-8:00 at the Owego Treadway for a showcase of the high quality foods grown and prepared right in your own backyard.

Sample gourmet style dishes including soups, salads, main courses and desserts. Over 10 local restaurants provide a tantalizing selection of foods; try them all for just $30 dollars per person. Shake hands with your local farmer and get to know the people who grow the great food you’re enjoying.

New for 2010!

We are proud to announce that beer tasting will be available from local brewery Ithaca Beer Co. in addition to the great wine tasting selection provided by Cherry Knoll Farm from Marathon and Six Mile Creek in Ithaca. Take home a complementary Taste of Tioga wine glass with your $5 wine/beer tasting ticket.



While you’re enjoying the good food, relax to the musical stylings of Evergreen, a local Celtic and traditional music group. And be sure to enter our 50/50 and gift basket raffle filled with goodies from local businesses.

AIDS Ride for Life

On September 11, 2010 approximately 400 people will bicycle 100 miles around Cayuga Lake in the AIDS Ride for Life to make a difference in the lives of people struggling with HIV/AIDS. This event benefits our area’s primary HIV/AIDS service provider, the Sothern Tier AIDS Program. It also raises awareness about this disease and the reality that it has not disappeared.
