Renew Health is a unique health care access program for uninsured people with Diabetes, Asthma or a chronic lung disease. Our skilled Renew Health staff will help you pay for primary care doctor visits and transportation, afford medication, and teach you the skills needed to manage your own health. A course on living a healthier life is FREE with Renew Health participation.

Participant of Renew Health

 Do you qualify to be a participant of Renew Health? If you say yes to the following statements then you are qualified to be a participant of Renew Health:

  • Have one of the following chronic conditions: Diabetes, Asthma, or a chronic lung disease
  • Between the ages of 18-64 years
  • Uninsured

The Renew Health staff can meet with you at a convenient location to connect you with:

  • Financial coverage for visits to a primary care provider (Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant)
  • Health information and resources about your chronic condition 
  • Prescription assistance programs
  • Transportation resources
  • Referrals for services
  • Free participation in Renew Health’s disease self-management education classes

Living Healthy Class

  • 6 Week workshop
  • Equips Members with knowledge to better manage their chronic conditions
  • Free book about self-management of chronic conditions and CD with participation

9th Annual Taste of Tioga
9/7/2010 5:30 PM-8 PM - Taste of Tioga is the premiere buy-local culinary festival and fundraiser from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tioga County. Join us September 17, 5:30-8:00 at the Owego Treadway for a showcase of the high quality foods grown and prepared right in your own backyard. Sample gourmet style dishes including soups, salads, main courses and desserts. Over 10 local restaurants provide a tantalizing selection of foods; try them all for just $30 dollars per person. Shake hands with your local farmer and get to know the people who grow the great food you’re enjoying. New for 2010! We are proud to announce that beer tasting will be available from local brewery Ithaca Beer Co. in addition to the great wine tasting selection provided by Cherry Knoll Farm from Marathon and Six Mile Creek in Ithaca. Take home a complementary Taste of Tioga wine glass with your $5 wine/beer tasting ticket.
